SURTECO AG acquires line in skirting and edging systems from Gardinia

SURTECO AG, leading global manufacturer of surface materials based specialist papers for technical applications and plastics, will take over the line in skirtings and edging systems from the Gardenia Home Decor Group under an asset deal on 31 May 2007. Within the SURTECO Group, the acquired line of business will form part of Döllken-Weimar GmbH in Nohra, Thuringia. The company will also take on the 27 employees currently working in this Gardenia line. Sales of Gardinia skirting and edging systems in the German-speaking area will continue to be operated by the former Gardenia sales team under the management of Döllken-Weimar. The Gardenia regional offices in the relevant countries will continue to be the responsible sales partners. Döllken-Weimar GmbH is the professional partner for the floorlaying wholesale and specialist trade, with a broad range of skirtings and edging systems, stair edges, transition rails and practical accessories specially designed for professional floorlayers. The takeover of the edging systems division from Gardenia enables Döllken-Weimar to strengthen its position in Germany and Eastern Europe.
