Material sourcing and preparation

The reproduction process begins with comprehensive pre-processing of the originals by our experienced carpenters. Woods that we purchase worldwide are treated in various ways - for example, they are sanded, polished, brushed and varnished. This allows us to emphasise the uniqueness of each piece of wood and highlight its individual characteristics or - depending on your wishes - allow them to fade into the background. This process creates different templates from a natural piece of wood for perfect realisation as a decor. 

Scan

After the original materials from nature - stones and wood - have been prepared by our experts with a great deal of expertise, the scanning process begins. At our site in Willich, we have a state-of-the-art Cruse scanner, which offers the ultimate solution for digital capture for decor printing. This allows us to achieve not only uniform textures across the entire artwork, but also accurate colour differences in very dark or very light areas. In order to achieve the best possible results, SURTECO Art uses optimised topography scanner technology, setting standards in the industry.

Only the flawless digitisation of the originals enables an impeccable result in decor printing. With our state-of-the-art Cruse scanner and optimised topography scanner technology, we achieve uniform textures across the entire original.  Colour differences in very dark or very light areas are also possible. Decorative gravure form

We have the world's most powerful laser engraving machine. The Hell Cellaxy is a modern, powerful laser that for the first time provides the high power density required for direct laser engraving of copper surfaces.

The use of our laser engraving machine enables gravure cells whose profiles can be freely adjusted within wide limits. This allows the half-tone properties of gravure printing to be fully utilised and the result is simply brilliant.

Embossing cylinders

After optimising direct laser engraving for gravure printing, we now also offer embossing cylinders for decorative and technical applications with an unprecedented level of detail. The range of services includes both all-over structures and synchronised structures to match our print decors. The high resolution of the laser enables a detailed realisation of the structure and gives the end product an authentic look and feel.

Half-tone laser

The freely selectable shape and depth of the cells ensure that your printing medium is applied consistently and in a defined quantity. This opens up completely new possibilities in terms of application quantity or pigment size of the printing inks.
